  • WOTUS Notice: The Final Response to SCOTUS

    U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Department of the Army, Corps of Engineers announced a Federal Register notice publicizing a series of six listening sessions and a 30-day recommendations docket to solicit feedback on key aspects of the definition of “waters of the United States.” The listening session for Industry and Agricultural Stakeholders will be May 1, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (Virtual and at EPA Headquarters in Washington, D.C.).   • EPA Celebrates America's Farmers and Ranchers on National Agriculture Day

    On March 18, 2025, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) commemorated National Agriculture Day by celebrating America’s rich agricultural history, and the critical role farmers and ranchers play as stewards of our land and natural resources, while providing Americans with a safe, abundant, and affordable food supply.   • EPA Launches Biggest Deregulatory Action in U.S. History

    On March 12, 2025, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Lee Zeldin announced the agency will undertake 31 historic actions in the greatest and most consequential day of deregulation in U.S. history, to advance President Trump’s Day One executive orders and Power the Great American Comeback.   • Comment Period Extended for Livestock and Poultry Feed Operations and Air Emissions Estimating Methodologies for Animal Feeding Operations

    On November 19, 2024, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) published draft air emission models and emission factors for dairy, swine, and poultry operations, developed using data gathered during the National Air Emission Monitoring Study (NAEMS). The models are available for review period for all interested stakeholders. The EPA extended the public review period to May 19, 2025. Comments should be sent to the NAEMS Group at NAEMS@epa.gov.
